For my final post from Roma, I want to capture the easy-breezy feel of Italian fashion. Italian brands, like Ferragamo and Fendi, display simple but strikingly luxurious styles in leather bags and light-weight clothing that reflects the Italian mantra. My interpretation of such mantra goes a little something like this: life = food, wine, happiness. While Americans live to work, Italians work to live (or forgo the working and just live).
Sitting in a cafe drinking wine or a cappucino, strolling through the gardens of the Villa D'Este, and taking in some of the most beautiful sights in the world convinced me that colorful, sophisticated, and easy pieces- orange cropped pants with white leather loafers and a pink fit-and-flare dress- are the perfect ways to marry the Italian's easy luxury with my own American precision-dressing.
