Summer Neutrals

I haven't posted an outfit in awhile, so I thought I'd post this cute summer LBD. With some sandals and a fedora, it's perfect for a casual day out.  It could also be great for a cocktail party with the right pair of heels! Hmm...already considering the possibilities...

2 Trends for 2 Seasons

If you're like me, you are always looking forward to the next season and all of the new, fun trends to try out. And while Fall '11 will definitely spawn some trends (both good and bad), there are a few summer trends that are sure to stay. Two of my favorite are colorblocking and maxis. I particularly love colorblocking with orange and pink, two fresh colors that will lift your mood come winter blues. So I put together a few spreads of looks to work these two trends: night and day, and summer and fall.

Summer Photo Shoot: What to Wear

A few weeks ago, I decided to style a photoshoot with my friends just for fun. I went for four differently themed looks, and shot them at my house and around town. Enjoy!

Bermuda 3

For a nice dinner on a warm Bermuda night, I decided to forego the typical tropical dress and go with a pair of slouchy navy pants. I wanted to play with silhouette, so I wore this cute, fun, one-shouldered a-line blouse. I topped it off with my fave white blazer, white heels, and a white purse for a fun color-combo.

Bermuda 2

Today, I went on a lovely cruise across the island and checked out the cute, little towns in Bermuda. I decided to wear this black maxi dress and a white sunhat; this was a bit of a tactical error as the wind was so strong and whipping around my dress and sweeping my hat off my head. Oh well, at least I didn't lose it!

For dinner, we went to a casual pub that is known for serving Rum Swizzles. I decided I wanted to dress up, even though the pub was very casual. I thought it would be fun to mix textures and prints with my new H&M lace crop top and this breezy Of Two Minds skirt! I decided to do minimal accessories/jewelry because there is a lot going on with the mixing!

Bermuda + New Items!

I just arrived in beautiful, relaxing, and lovely Bermuda a few days ago! So far, I've spent most of my time lounging around the beach and pool and enjoying meals at local spots. I want to share some of my beach appropriate outfits, as well as some of the items that I recently purchased in New York! I'll try to post some more Bermuda pics soon!

Hanging out on the beach in a one-shoulder Target bathing suit and t-shirt, and Marc by Marc Jacobs high-waisted shorts (And don't worry, I'm working on that tan!):

How I color-block when going for a tropical dinner:

A new pair of cute and comfy Candela flats that I got at Saks (I always need more!)

A great pair of black Ash peep-toe ankle boots from Saks (which are surprisingly so comfortable!)

Two new tops from H&M! The first is a chic lace crop top, and the second is a sheer black button down. I like both of these tops because while they can be sexy, they are also sophisticated.
