Styleta's Fall 2011 Photoshoot

I know I have been gone forever, so to welcome myself back to the blogosphere, I am uploading pictures from Styleta's Fall 2011 Photoshoot. Styleta is a national non-profit organization that has spread to a bunch of college campuses throughout the country. We put on fashion related events to raise money for Dress for Success and Charity: Water. To find out more, visit or check out WashU Styleta on facebook.

Currently, I am the Creative Director of the chapter at Washington University in St. Louis. Each look evoked a trend from the Fall 2011 collections. Enjoy the pics and tell me what you think of the looks! Can you guess which designers each look was inspired by?

New Items

I've been shopping like crazy the last few days! So far, I've bought...

These amazing Kate Spade cat eye sunnies from Nordys...

Stay tuned! I will be posting new outfits pics soon (hopefully with my new items!)

O, and everyone should know that Asos is having an incredible sale! Check it out!

Spring 2012 Trend: Making Waves

For Spring 2012, designers have been inspired by the colors of textures of the ocean. With scales, pale blues, and wavy patterns and textures, Spring 2012 is all about making waves.

What I Want from Nordstrom

Recently, a brand new Nordstrom opened up in St. Louis, where I go to school. I'm so excited, and the merchandise is fantastic! Right now, I'm saving up to get these items...

This House of Harlow ring is such a cool, signature item. What a great statement piece!

These Elizabeth and James sunglasses are the perfect cat-eye for this season! I've been needing a good pair of sunglasses!

This great oversized orange clutch would be a great piece to add interest to any look.

A black bootie wedge by Jeffrey Campbell is a cool shoe that could work all seasons!

I'm definitely in need of a ladylike handbag such as this one.

These Jeffrey Campbell snakeskin wedges are too cool. Imagine any outfit with them. Seriously, imagine it.

Burberry Prorsum Spring '12

Burberry Prorsum is always one of my faves from LFW- Christopher Bailey always finds ways to update the classic Burberry trench. This Spring, he does that with a mix of bright colors and prints and tribal-inspired details!

It's been a little gloomy today, which means one thing: Fall! When I think of Fall, I think of careful layering thats sophisticated and warm, but isn't overwhelming.

Every fashionista needs a few key pieces for the Fall. A great pair of boots, like these over-the-knee leather ones by Michael Kors, are essential for fall and perfect for layering.

Leather leggings, or leggings with leather panels, are still hot this Fall. These H&M leggings achieve that cool, edgy look without being overwhelming.

You CAN wear white after labor day! A white blazer, like this one from Zara, is a great way to add a bit of contrast to the dark colors of fall.

I love the look of layering a cropped sweater over a button down. In this case, a bright sweater and a sheer button down (both from H&M) give this trend a new twist.

Fall Pieces I'm Craving

I really have not done as much shopping lately as I've been hoping, but here are some pieces I am wanting  needing at the moment. These pieces are all some of the perfect building blocks for a Fall Wardrobe, but with a cool, trendy twist.

This Cheap Monday sweater lives up to the price of its reputation, but would look cool layered with almost anything.

This cool pleated Club Monaco skirt is so on trend this season, and brings a ladylike femininity to any outfit.

This Asos handbag is such a cool shape and color, it would instantly add polish to anything!

These Madewell booties are Isabel Marant look-alikes, and so hot right now!

This polished J.Crew handbag is a perfect shape, and looks so great in leopard.

This felt floppy J.Crew hat is so 70's cool and perfect for this season!

I love the shape of these Elizabeth & James sunglasses

This amazing Rachel Zoe fur vest is just as incredible as the rest of her collection!
